Malia - The Dawn of New Conflicts

- Sea -
The rain stopped and the wind began to calm down.
The clouds however, did not disappear, hanging ominously in the sky.
This caused the day to stay at the same lightness as the night bore.

- Sea -
The battered fleet limped towards their home.

- Sea -
A rather large black bird, with red tail feathers, flew over the fleet suddenly. It headed towards a small, unexplored island with the ruins of a tower on it. Soon afterwards, the smaller birds, with purple tail feathers, flew over. In the smaller bird's claws were Shadow Goblins.

- Sea -
The crews watched.

- Sea -
The large bird landed, and a cloaked figure dropped off it.
The goblins were thrown into the water by the smaller birds, who then swam to shore.

- Windlash Island -
"Find the hidden place quickly!" The mage hissed. The goblins ran off to find it.
Two hurried into a forest, and three started digging.

- Sea -
One of the ships sank.

- Windlash Island -
Soon after, the two goblins emerged with a purple sphere.
The mage took it.
"Excellent, excellent." She said, then motioned to the birds.
"Stay here and guard this island." She jumped onto the large bird, who flew into the sky. The smaller birds followed.

- Sea -
The large and small birds flew over the ships again. This time, the smaller birds lacked the goblins they were carrying.

- Sea -
The Admiral looked up at them, silent.

- Sea -
The birds disappeared into a deep mist.
They had headed in the direction of the supposed to be abandoned fortress.

- Windlash Island -
The Shadow goblins started piling up stone.

- Sea -
The ships went to move back to their island.
"What was that?" A Major muttered.

- Moonli- Supposed to be Abandoned Fortress -
The large bird swept down and landed ontop of a tower. The mage slid off it.
"Excellent. Niltheriu." The mage said, stroking the birds head.
A large, black creature opened a trap door and entered the top of the tower, lit faintly by a latern it was holding. It walked slowly to the mage, sniffing the air at predictable intervals. It finally stopped infront of the mage, who had been waiting impatiently. The mage was irritated further by the creature attempting to bow, and decided to interrupt it. "Teltherian, speak or stop wasting my time!" The mage hissed.

- Fleet docks -
A messenger bird flew headlong into a wall.
The scout picked it up and took the message, reading it quickly.

Within eight hours the rest of the fleet was to be launched.

- Moonli- Supposed to be Abandoned Fortress -
"Of course" The Shadow Goblin launched into a lengthy speech before leaving.
The mage thought about what he had said, and then she walked down to the docks.
She entered a boat with him Shadow-Goblins following and sailed Westwards, towards Phaetonica.

- Moonlina Fortress Walls -
A Shadow Goblin watched the sea from a tower.

- Sea -
Far in the distance, ships appeared.

- Moonlina Fortress -
The Goblin did not notice the ships.
It went to operate some machinery.

- Sea -
The ships, while in broad daylight, as they got closer, slipped under cursed clouds.
The Fortress and the sea's surronding it made it appear like it was night, when in reality it was day.
Suddenly, infront of the fleet, a rather large creature flew out of the sea, water flying into the air and raining down onto the sea and nearest ships.
The creature then flew into the ocean. It was a rather large, purple and blue shark. It disturbed the waters as it rushed away from the ships. Then it turned and charged directly at the one nearest to it. Gathering speed as it moved towards it.

- Sea -
The ship prepared to fire, some of its crew also pointing rifles at it.

- Sea -
The Kygant just gathered up more speed.
It appeared to be going to try and make a hole in the ship it was charging at.

- Sea -
The ship and its crew fired.

- Sea -
One of the cannons hit the creature.
The Kygant disappeared into the ocean's waves for a moment.
Soon after, it's body floated up to the top of the ocean.
The dark fortress loomed up ahead.

- Sea -
The fleet headed for it, soon joining to Admiral's battared group.

- Sea -
The looming fortress could soon be identified as being one which once belonged to a group of pirates. Now however, it had completely changed. What appeared to be towers flashing lights on the sea and inside the fortress could be seen. An even larger tower existed, and on this, roosted a very large black and red bird.

- Sea -
The ships fired their cannons at the fortress and the land around it.

- Moonlina Fortress -
The only 'land' around it was water. So all those cannonballs fell into the sea.
The wall was hit afew times but was barely scratched.
One of te lights flashed on a ship. The fortress fired its own cannons at the ship.

- Moonlina Fortress -
A few ships, previously damaged, sank.
The others fired again, more coordinated.

- Moonlina Fortress -
The ships managed to break a wooden wall. It led into the fortresses docks, which were empty.
